It was an unusual request. An email from a film company requesting to film the Mahasamahdi of Paramahansa Yogananda. Nancy was so surprised that she flicked the email off to Brahmachari Girish to see if it was for real.

What a blessing it is for all devotees that an independent company, Counterpoint Films is spending 3 years filming a documentary on the life and work of our great Guru. The Auckland group took part by filming the Mahasamahdi service of Paramahansa Yogananda. Mahasamahdi is the conscious final exit from the body of an enlightened being.

Our service was filmed by Greg Doherty and Junior Madureira. Tommy Friedman of CounterPoint Films wrote an email and said "Please let everyone know that we received your footage and we are very pleased with what you've shot. Thank you for making a successful effort in showing the Auckland meditation center's homage to the Premavatar."
